After finding the right space in the centre of Bridport Dorset, international artist, Howard Flanagan, opened the doors to Art Unlimited The Gallery, in February 2022.

Following a personal dream to own an art gallery, Howard and his team filled the gallery with a diverse range of works, keen to support artists from any background, at any stage of their artistic journey and using any medium. The main focus was always on the art itself and finding beautiful pieces, that customers of the gallery would love to own. 

Soon after opening the gallery, the inaugural International Open Art Competition was launched. The competition has grown over the years, and has gone from strength to strength. It has uncovered exciting works from emerging artists, as well as established artists, from across the globe and on the gallery's own doorstep. One of the focuses of the competition is to support young artists in their artistic journey and has its own dedicated category for 15-18 year olds.
