David Stamp became a full time professional artist in 2022, living and working from his home in Cornwall. He is self- taught, now primarily working in mixed media and oil. His style of work varies from semi- abstract to representational and he often paints using purely a credit/ store card. He has developed a strong focus on creating texture using bold colour.

Having worked for most of his life on, under, or about the sea, David has a real understanding of the sea and the Cornish coastline and is now expressing his vision through his art. David was previously a member of the St Ives RNLI crew as well as a skipper himself.
