Sam Millar is a self taught artist from the North Coast of Ireland, living close to the Giant’s Causeway and the ‘Dark Hedges.’
She paints mainly with acrylics on canvas and canvas board and is happiest when she is creating.
Having grown up with both parents painting with oils and their art hanging up on the walls around the home, she loved painting from a young age.
For a while creativity took a backseat to make way for a career in business. However, something within her always needed to create and she enjoyed painting cards and watercolours and making wire tree art as presents.
It wasn’t until she started her Instagram account and began trying new techniques that she truly reignited her passion for art.
Sam gravitates toward sea and landscapes, along with some abstract bokeh pieces. She loves developing her skills and challenging herself to continually grow in the process.
She entered her first ever art competition and reached the finals of the Art Unlimited UK Artist Competition.
She is looking forward to what the future holds by finally concentrating on her passion.
