Born in Romania during the twilight of communist rule, Amalia witnessed history unfold before her eyes as a teenager - an experience that would spark a lifelong passion for exploring new horizons.

Having journeyed across four continents and immersing herself in the culture and life of twenty-five different countries, Amalia now calls the Isle of Portland her home, with its picturesque vistas igniting her creativity, providing the spark to celebrate the present moment through art.

Amalia is largely a self-taught artist, whose preferred mediums are digital art, watercolours, and silk painting. Through these, she captures the essence of emotions, feelings, and imagined memories, often manifesting as delicate flowers, serene seascapes, and endearing furry companions.

‘My artistic process is an organic exploration, a meditative focus in which I surrender to the ebb and tide of emotions, allowing them to guide my brushstrokes without predetermined plans. I intend to catalyse introspection and present engagement and give ample time for each artistic exploration to blossom and slowly unveil its deeper truths’.
