Steve Bamford

Steve Bamford was born in Liverpool and now lives in Poole, Dorset. He has recently returned to his favourite medium of screen printing which he first discovered on his foundation course before graduating in Graphic Design.



During a long career working as a designer, the majority of the time running his own Graphic Design business, Steve had little time to pursue his love of screen printing.

To refresh his interest in the medium, Steve completed a screen printing course at the Arts University Bournemouth in 2018.

 After the course he joined Poole Printmakers where he has developed his screen printing skills and is now also leading courses in screen printing as a tutor.

Steve was shortlisted for the 2024 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Steve’s screen prints bring a smile and positive feelings to viewers. Often invoking nostalgic thoughts through themes such as song lyrics, summer holidays and seaside architecture.
