Dave Budden

Dave grew up in South Wales where his favourite subject at school was Woodwork.

Later he moved into careers in agriculture and in the construction industry leading a busy nomadic life.

His life took a new direction when he moved to West Dorset and during the uncertain Covid times in lockdown saw a change in circumstances which led him to build a shepherds hut in his garden which has become his workshop.

Dave devotes most of his time to his passion of wood art, taking his inspiration from the beautiful Jurassic coast, and, also observations taken from being out at sea in Lyme Bay.

The variety of beautiful shapes, sizes and patterns of fossils and sea creatures have inspired Dave to the current series of wood art.
